(August 30th, 2014)-SWANTON: The girls of Edon made the trip to Swanton in order to take part in a tri-match with home team Swanton and fellow traveler Hicksville. It proved to be too much for the Bombers to take on both the Bulldogs and the Aces, but they were at least able to come away with one win on the day.
The first opponent for Edon was Swanton. The Lady Bombers got off to a slow start, dropping the first game 13-25. They came back strong in the second set, taking the game 25-21. Game 3 came down to the wire, with both teams evenly matched. Edon was able to earn the victory, however, winning the third set 26-24.
Hicksville was next in line to take on the Edon girls. Again, Edon struggled in the first set, losing the game 11-25. They were unable to repeat their run from the first match, though, as they lost game 2 17-25.
