(August 26th, 2014): It wasn’t easy, but Edon defeated Hamilton in straight sets. The Marines from Indiana fought hard, but just couldn’t overcome the Bombers.
The first set saw the Bombers set the pace of the game, winning 25-15. Game 2 was tougher on Edon. Still they managed to take the set 25-22. Hamilton gave it everything they had in game three, but the Lady Bombers were able to close out the Marines 25-23.
Alex Kiess did a little bit of everything against the Lady Marines, making 13 assists, 4 kills, and 4 aces. Nicole Newell nailed 13 kills for Edon. Teammate Kaela Gearhart set things up for the Bomber attack, serving up 15 assists to go along with her 2 aces and 1 kill.
