Blakeslee marked the holiday season on Sunday, December 14, 2025, with its annual Christmas celebration, drawing community members downtown for live music, student performances, and a festive parade.
Held directly in front of the Village Hall, the event featured performances by the Edon High School Band and Choir, who braved frigid temperatures to help bring some joy to the Blakeslee community.
The choir sang holiday classics, while the marching band headlined the parade.
“The Christmas in Blakeslee” parade officially stepped off at 6:00 p.m., with participants lining up behind the St. Joseph Church.
The parade was open to participation for the public, no pre-registration required, and the locals did not shy away from the snow flurries.
The parade itself featured a long line-up of lighted tractors, combines, trucks, side-by-sides, fire trucks, and more.
In addition to the parade, refreshments and live music were offered downtown in the village hall – providing residents a chance to step away and join a community meal.
Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus made their appearance after the parade and visited with children on-site.
The event welcomed locals to come together and share in the Christmas season in Blakeslee, Ohio.
