Edon Village Council Approves 2021 Budget

The Edon Village Council met on December 21st in regular session. All members of Council were present.

During the meeting, Council approved appropriations for 2021. Council also approved an ordinance amending the Income Tax for the Village to 1.75%. This was approved by voters during the November election.


Council approved a Representation Agreement with Tom Thompson for 2021. There were no changes to the agreement from last year. Another Ordinance was passed appropriating additional COVID CARES Act monies from the County.

Finally, Council passed a nuisance complaint form that will be able to be utilized by Village residents. The new form will be available at the first of the year.

An Ordinace regarding the Village’s Community Reinvestment Act was tabled for now as the Village awaits new guidelines from the State Legislature.

Village Offices will be closed December 31st and January 1st for the new year.


Meetings for 2021 for the Village Council will remain the 3rd Monday of every month, with the next meeting being held on January 18th.
