Evelyn Jean Becker, age 91, of Delta, passed away August 3, 2022, at Fairlawn Haven in Archbold. Evelyn spent her life caring for her home and for her family.
Evelyn was born on December 15, 1930, in Toledo to the late James and Helen (McLaughlin) Thompson.
On August 20, 1973, Evelyn married Thomas Becker, and he survives. Evelyn was a member of the Beulah Church in Winameg.
Evelyn was an avid painter and drawer, winning many awards with her art. She also loved to garden and take care of flowers, cared for all animals, especially her dogs and cats, and above all else, she loved and supported her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Evelyn is survived by her husband, Thomas; son, Ronald (Teresa) Eller of Adrian, MI; son, Richard (Traci) Eller of Tucson, AZ; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Cindra Weber; daughter, Debra Lowe; grandson, Justin Schmidt; infant granddaughter, Abigail Eller; and all of her siblings.
Visitation for Evelyn will take place on Friday, August 12, 2022, from 10am – 12pm at the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon. A memorial service will take place at 12pm at the funeral home, with Pastor Don Krieger officiating. Burial will take place at a later time at the Winameg Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Fulton County Humane Society.
