The Evergreen Board of Education held their meeting on Monday, July 18th. The meeting began at 6:00 p.m. followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
The board first moved to approve the minutes for the previous meeting held on June 27th and the Special Board Meetings held on June 27th and July 5th.
The June 2022 financial reports were then approved as well as the certificate of the total amount for all sources available for expenditures and balances for the fiscal year ending June 30th, 2022.
The following personnel items were then approved by the board.
The resignations from Adrian Lumbrezer from the position of EHS Counselor and DeeAnn Simmons from the position of EMIS Coordinator.
Supplemental contracts were offered to Jeremy Ruth for the Girls Head Golf Coach position and to Mollie Youtzy for the Freshman Volleyball Coach position.
An FMLA request was approved for Lindsey Abrams and a three-year contract was approved for Mary Beth Maloespszy to be the School Psychologist.
The board next moved to approve a resolution to proceed and propose the renewal of an annual tax levy on school district income.
The levy shall be submitted to the electors of the Evergreen School District at the election to be held on November 8th, 2022. The school bus route stops were then approved by the Superintendent and Transportation Coordinator.
In conjunction, the board also authorized the Superintendent and or his designee to change board approved stops whenever necessary for the 2022-2023 school year.
Board members then moved to approve the following agenda items. The Fall athletic pass prices and annual, all-sport family pass price. The EES, EMS, and EHS staff handbooks for the 2022-2023 school year.
A five-year service contract with the Northern Buckeye Education Council to provide IP telephone managed service to Evergreen Local Schools.
An overnight trip for the Evergreen Cross Country team members, coaches John Wodarski and Steve McDowell, and parents/chaperones to travel to Pokagon State Park in Angola, Indiana for training and team bonding.
Entered into an agreement with Lyons LP Gas Company to purchase propane at $1.489 per gallon, plus all applicable fees, taxes and charges through August 1st, 2022, and July 31st, 2023.
School administration then gave reports before the meeting was adjourned for the evening.
