The Evergreen Board of Education held their meeting on Monday, September 29th. The meeting began at 6:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance.

The board first moved to approve the minutes from the previous meeting held on August 15th. Some correspondence was reviewed from the Ohio Music Education Association notifying the District that Kyle Feedback, Melanie Krempec, and Michael Wheeler were selected as members of the All-State Choir. The students will perform at the State Conference later this year.

Notification was also received from the National Merit Scholarship Corp. announcing Jacob Goodson’s qualification as a National Merit Semifinalist.

Levy Renewal Chairperson Bryon Hansel addressed the board next before the following items were addressed by the board.

Approval was given for the August 2022 financial reports as presented which included the cash reconciliation, financial summary, cash summary and disbursement summary.

A $100 anonymous donation to the Student Assistance Fund was accepted as well as a HBHP Wellness Grant for $2,700.00 for the 2022-2023 school year.

The district in-state tuition rate for the 2022-2023 school year was then set at $11,600.45 and at $15,275.43 for the out-of-state tuition rate.

Derick Stoup was then removed, and Dylan Henricks added, to the Metamora State Bank petty cash account.

Several personnel items were then discussed and approved before the board moved to open for discussions.

An update for the income tax levy renewal was given before Principal’s reports were heard as well as a report from the Superintendent.

With no further business to attend to, the meeting was adjourned.
