FAIRVIEW: May 09- The North Central Eagles took to the road on May 9 for an out of conference contest with the Fairview Apaches, falling to the hosts 6-5 in a tightly played game. The Eagles powered out to a 5-3 lead after 3 innings, but was unable to hold off the Apaches, giving up the lead in the 4th, and allowing the go ahead run to cross the plate in the 5th.
Jordan Reeves went the distance for North Central, allowing 6 runs off of 8 hits. Reeves also walked 5 and recorded 3 strikeouts in the loss.
Offensively for the Eagles, Josh Sawyer led the way with a double and a single in the game, driving in a run, while Clayton Ferguson and Colton Pilmore each drove in RBI’s in the game off of singles. Branden Turner, Alex Proper and Jordan Bailey each contributed singles in the loss.
With the loss, North Central falls to 15-5 on the season and have concluded BBC play with a 8-2 finish, tied for the regular season title with the Stryker Panthers.
