August 25th-FAYETTE: Attempting to defend their home court, the Fayette Eagles were unable to defeat the Bulldogs of Swanton. Losing in three games, the Eagles tried to rally late, but could not begin a comeback run.

During game 1, Fayette played admirably, yet still couldn’t pull ahead of the Bulldogs. The Lady Eagles dropped the set 18-25. In the second set, Swanton began to separate themselves from the home team, controlling the game 25-12. Not backing down, The Eagles of Fayette battled back in game 3, making it the most competitive set of the game. Swanton was able to hold on, 25-22.

Hannah Machacek led the Eagles with 9 assists, and had 2 digs as well. Jessie Wheeler added 6 kills for Fayette. Paige Keefer had 11 digs in the losing effort and 1 kill in the losing effort.
