FRANKLIN TWP. — A Fayette, Ohio, man died Sunday after he struck a road sign on Pentecost Highway. Michigan State Police were dispatched at about 4:07 p.m. Sunday to Pentecost Highway near Reed Road for a single motorcycle accident.
Chad Reynolds, 36, was pronounced dead at the scene when Michigan State Police arrived, according to a news release.
Evidence and eyewitness accounts determined that Reynolds was traveling southbound on Pentecost Highway on a 2004 Yamaha motorcycle. Reynolds passed a witness vehicle in a no passing zone. There was oncoming traffic and he swerved “aggressively” back into the southbound lane, going into the shoulder area.
The witness said it appeared Reynolds was slowing down when he lost control and struck a sign. MSP were assisted by Adrian Township Police Department and Lenawee County Community EMS.
