The Fayette Village Council held their meeting on Wednesday June 9th at 6pm.

The council voted to approve minutes from the May 26th meeting as well as the governmental affair meeting on June 2nd.

Next, they discussed the planned work on the catch basin as well as the milling and repaving for Cherry Street.

The work is to be done by Henry W. Bergman, Inc and is supposed to take place on Thursday June 10th and Friday June 11th.

Future street work that will need to be done on both North Gorham and North Fayette Street was also discussed. Currently North Fayette is the street of more concern.

The council then voted to approve the administrator report and moved on to vote to approve and pay the bills as read.

In communications they were informed by the Museum of Fulton County that they are having a third Thursday event and that reservations are needed.

The council was also informed of the letter of resignation sent from Patrolman Thomas Ehman.

A resident had called in and stated that he was impressed with the professionalism of the Fayette Police Department. He specifically mentioned Officers Gary Allred and Nicole Ferguson.

A decision to hire Chase Moats as a part time seasonal DPW employee was voted on and approved.

The council then voted to adjourn for the evening.
