The Fayette Village Council met on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. inside Village Hall. The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance, prayer, and approval of the evening’s agenda and previous minutes from the September 17 and October 8 sessions.

Council proceeded with the second reading of Ordinance 2025-20, concerning employee wages, salaries, and medical benefits for the year 2026. The ordinance was not voted on and will move forward to a third and final reading next month.

Resolution 2025-21, which adopted the 2025 Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan for the Village of Fayette, was suspended and approved.

Ordinance 2025-22 accepted the gift of real property to the village and declared an emergency. An additional ordinance entered into an agreement with the Fulton County Board of Commissioners to provide legal counsel to indigent persons. Both motions were suspended and approved with no contest.

Under legislative actions, the council approved several Plan Commission appointments as follows: Dave Borer as Mayor, Suzette Boesger as Council Member Representative, Ryan Colegrove as Village Citizen #1, Jason Ohlemacher as Village Citizen #2, and Dan Markley as Public Member.

The Fayette Village Council adjourned at 6:25 p.m. with no further business.
