The West Unity Branch Library welcomed families on Saturday morning for a festive holiday celebration highlighted by the much-anticipated arrival of Santa Claus.
At 9:30 a.m., Saturday, December 6, 2025, Santa made a grand entrance with a special parade of fire trucks, accompanied by his elf friend and cheerful entourage from the North Pole. Children and parents gathered outside to watch the fire department escort Santa to the library doors.
From 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., visitors were invited inside to meet Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the elf, with many children taking the opportunity to pose for photos with the holiday trio.
A hands-on ornament decorating station allowed kids to create their own keepsake ornaments to hang on their Christmas trees at home.
Additional holiday-themed coloring stations gave children space to enjoy a quieter, creative activity, while winners of the library’s recent coloring contest were displayed proudly for everyone to admire.
Families were also treated to free homemade cookies and children could select a complimentary book to take home, adding to the library’s mission to fuel young readers.
The event, offered at no cost to the community, brought joy, excitement, and a strong sense of seasonal warmth to all who attended.
