TOLEDO – The Stryker Panthers fell to 0-2 on the young season the hard way on April 4. Following their 10- season opening loss of two days prior, the Panthers again failed to crack the run column while the pitching was equally suspect. Toledo Christian blew open a 4-0 game with an 11-run fourth, cementing a five-inning 15-0 skunking of Stryker.

Dean Beamont lasted 3 innings for Stryker, allowing 8 runs, 7 earned on 6 hits and 6 walk, striking out 3. Chad Ruffer was knocked out after allowing 6 runs on 3 hits and 3 walks in 1/3 of an inning. Jeremiah Garza got the final two outs, but not before he was touched up for a run on 3 hits.
