Several properties owned by Fulton County will have lower energy bills after the Board of County Commissioners approved a new contract.
The board approved the three-year deal with Mid-American Energy Services LLC. The pact is good for three years.
Under terms of the agreement, the county will be charged a fixed rate of $0.05247 for electricity. The buildings are all in Wauseon and include the Health Department, office building, administration building, solid waste, and the courthouse.
The commissioners also accepted the withdrawal of a petition submitted by German Township for Ditch 2130.
The board cancelled the meeting of March 23,The March 23 board meeting was cancelled so that workers could attend the Wauseon High School basketball game in Columbus.
