Property owners who live closest to the work area of Ditch 2119-Trowbridge would pay higher assessments to fund the project.
That is according to County Engineer Rod Creager who proposed the alternative plan to the Fulton County Board of Commissioners which signed off on it May 17. The previous plan was to assess according to the size of a lit.
The petition has been filed for several years. The ditch is in Swancreek Township.
In other actions, the board:
Approved a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ohio Department of Transportation for sharing facilities at 8878 State Route 108 and 8848 State Route 108.
Approved an agreement with the city of Wauseon for access to the data tower at the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office.
Waived ambulance service charges for 38 out-of-county residents who cannot pay their bills. The total cost was about $6,880.
