The Fulton County Commissioners met in regular session on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. The meeting opened at 9:00 a.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance, an opening prayer, and roll call.

The commissioners then approved the January 29, 2026, minutes, adopted the day’s agenda, and approved payment of bills. The board then authorized appropriations, including increases for Real Estate Assessment of $116,000 in contract services and $75,680 in equipment, a $196 decrease from the Fund for Homeless Trust PA line, and a $60,000 transfer within Children Services from Shared Costs to Other Expenses.

Commissioners entered into Contract 2026-15 with Guelde Law LLC for IV D services on behalf of Job and Family Services, with a stated $144,000 amount and a contract term running January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2026.

The board also approved oversight of Contract 2026-16 with K and P Medical Transport for non-emergency transportation services for Job and Family Services, including mileage based rates such as $3.75 per mile for ambulatory trips up to 50 miles one way, $3.25 per mile for ambulatory trips over 50 miles, and $3.95 per mile plus a $25 base pick up fee for wheelchair van trips.

For EMS funding, commissioners adopted a resolution declaring it necessary to levy a renewal tax in excess of the ten mill limitation for emergency medical services at 4.0 mills for five years, and to submit the question to voters at the May 5, 2026 general election, with the levy to begin in tax year 2026 and first be due in calendar year 2027 if approved by a majority.

The board accepted the resignation of Senior Center employee Michelle Shafer, effective the pay period ending January 24, 2026. Before adjourning, the board approved purchase orders and travel requests.
