The Fulton County Commissioners held their meeting on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. The meeting began at 9 a.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by an opening prayer and roll call. The board approved the June 9 regular session minutes, the day’s agenda, and the payment of bills as submitted.
Commissioners approved several appropriation changes, including a $500 increase for Regional Planning contract services for the regional planning audit and a $550 EMA transfer from property insurance to contract services following an expense correction.
The board also approved a $6,500 transfer for Public Utilities repairs, with $5,000 coming from the vehicle line and $1,500 from equipment, along with a $1,400 NEWS transfer from other expenses to contract services.
The board approved Pay Request No. 1 to HIS Constructors Inc. for the Pleasant View Wastewater Treatment Plant project in the amount of $98,955.
Commissioners also approved Pay Request No. 2 to US Bridge for the Bridge G24.6 Rehabilitation Project, totaling $107,935.84, following review by Fulton County Engineer Frank Onweller and approval of prevailing wage rates by Prevailing Wage Coordinator Stephanie Mossing.
Commissioners also approved oversight of a contract between Fulton County Job and Family Services and Foundations for Living for residential treatment placement. The agreement runs from June 1 through June 30 at a rate of $450 per day, with the auditor’s certificate listing the contract amount at $13,500.
The board certified a request from the Fulton County Rural Zoning Commission to amend the county’s 2011 Zoning Resolution.
The resolution states that the zoning commission reviewed the document and found numerous revisions were needed, with the commissioners’ action allowing the proposed amendments to move forward to a public hearing.
Commissioners also approved the disposal of an unneeded Senior Center vehicle as a trade-in toward another vehicle.
The trade-in involves a 2014 Dodge Caravan valued at $4,000, with supporting documents showing the Senior Center plans to purchase a 2026 Chrysler Pacifica for meal transport. The board also approved purchase orders and travel requests as submitted before concluding regular business.
The Fulton County Commissioners met again on Thursday, June 18, 2026. The meeting began at 9 a.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by an opening prayer and roll call.
Commissioners Jeff Rupp and R.J. Lumbrezer were present for the meeting, with the board approving the minutes from the June 16 session and the agenda as presented or amended.
The board approved appropriation requests for multiple departments, including the establishment of two Court Technology Grant lines for Clerk of Courts computerization.
Commissioners also approved a $25,122 appropriation increase for the grant, which will be used to upgrade current software to comply with new laws.
A second appropriation increase was approved in the amount of $75,000 for contract services through the Board of Developmental Disabilities. Supporting documents show the funding is tied to a Soil and Water pass-through grant payment to Triangular Processing for recycling operations.
Commissioners also approved Pay Request No. 1 to Gerken Paving Inc. for the 2026 Fulton County Asphalt Resurfacing Program. The payment was approved in the amount of $800 under Contract 2026-47, with the county engineer’s office listing the original contract amount at $4,467,466.60.
The board also approved purchase orders and travel requests as submitted.
As a reminder, county offices would be closed June 19 for Juneteenth, and the June 23 and June 25 commissioners’ sessions were canceled.
The next regular meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 9 a.m.
