Fulton County Commissioners Handle Several Resolutions

The board approved the following resolutions July 26:
-Awarded the bid for rock salt to Compass Minerals America, Inc. of Overland Park, Kan., for $42.19 a ton.
-Approved a proclamation declaring August to be Child Support Awareness.
-Approved a rental agreement with the Swanton Community Center for the Senior Center at $350 per month.
-Extended teen pregnancy prevention programming through June 30, 2017 at a cost of $120,000.
-Extended a contract through JFS for Fulton County Cab Service through June 30, 2017, at a cost of $100,000.
-Reviewed the unemployment numbers for June (not seasonally adjusted). Fulton and Williams County both stood at 4.4 percent. The national rate was 4.9 percent while the state’s was 5.1 percent.
The board approved the following resolution July 28:
-Bids for replacing the boiler in the Administration Building will be accepted until 10 a.m. Aug. 23. The estimated cost is $57,000.
