Fulton County Sees Lower Unemployment, Increased Sales Tax Collections

THE VILLAGE REPORTER

The Fulton County Board of Commissioners met Aug. 25 and:
Awarded a bid for general trades work on the Wauseon Library project to Sperling Heating and Ventilating Company. The contract is for $109,240.
Other highlights:
Dog Warden Report for week of Aug. 14-20: 10 strays were picked up and seven dogs were returned. The office collected $160 in fees.
The Juvenile Court has received word its Fiscal Year 2017 Subsidy Funding Grant application has been approved.
Fulton County’s unemployment (not seasonally adjusted) was 4.1 percent in July.
The county is slightly ahead of last year’s sales tax collection. Through August, the county has collected $5,121,138.82. Last year’s total was $5.08 million.
