The Fulton County Commissioners met for their regular session on Thursday, March 19, 2026, opening with the Pledge of Allegiance, prayer, and roll call.
The board first approved the minutes from the March 12 meeting, along with the agenda as presented. Commissioners then moved into old business, approving the payment of bills as submitted and reviewing the Dog Warden reports for the periods ending February 28 and March 7.
During new business, commissioners reviewed a notice from the Fulton County Clerk of Courts Title Division announcing an upcoming temporary closure.
The office will close at 2 p.m. on April 22 and remain closed on April 23 for training, before reopening on April 24 during normal hours.
The board approved a series of appropriation changes across multiple county departments.
These included the establishment of a new line item for vehicles related to the Fulton Lucas waterline project, as well as increases in appropriations for expenses, including Soldiers Relief, the Northeast Water System, capital improvements within the Engineer’s office, and insurance within the Board of Developmental Disabilities.
Several fund transfers were also authorized, including reallocations within Job and Family Services accounts, workforce funding adjustments, and transfers tied to waterline equipment and vehicle funding.
Additional action included significant allocations within the Gasoline Tax and Motor Vehicle fund for contract projects, equipment, and vehicles.
Commissioners approved multiple grant-related draw requests connected to Community Development Block Grant rehabilitation funding, along with authorizing participation documentation related to opioid settlement funds.
In infrastructure-related action, the board approved entering into a contract with RG Zachrich Construction for the Bridge 24A.9 rehabilitation project.
The commissioners also approved a letter of support for Triangular Processing as the organization seeks capital funding for a renovation project involving the former Racquet Club facility.
According to the letter, the project would transform the deteriorating structure into a community event and recreational facility aimed at serving residents across Fulton County and the surrounding region.
The proposed upgrades are intended to support individuals with developmental disabilities, expand Special Olympics programming, and provide additional indoor recreational and event space, which county officials noted is currently limited.
Commissioners further emphasized that Triangular Processing lacks a dedicated facility for its programs, and that the project would improve service consistency while also contributing to broader economic development and quality-of-life efforts within the county.
The commissioners also approved a contract with the Fulton County Fair for merchant space on behalf of Job and Family Services for the 2026 fair season; completed their annual reorganization for 2026; designated an alternative representative for County Commissioners Association of Ohio membership meetings; and approved various purchase orders and travel requests.
With no further business, the meeting adjourned shortly after 9:20 a.m.
