The Fulton County Senior Center offers a variety of fun events for Fulton County seniors. A group of twenty seniors recently participated in a local day trip to the businesses of Pettisville including Das Essen Haus, Stella Leona Chocolates, Sunday’s Market, Pettisville Meats, Weeping Willow Florist, and Knotty Vines Winery. Upcoming Center sponsored events that require pre-registration include a Christmas Victorian Tea in Bryan. Cost is $12 and limited to 7 participants. The Wauseon site is scheduled for December 3rd and the Swanton site is scheduled for December 20th.
On Saturday, December 7, the Fayette Opera House is hosting a fun evening of dance, music, and entertainment set to begin at 5:00 pm. A dance show will be provided by cloggers and the Bean Creek Line Dancers. At 6:00, a buffet style meal will be served for a freewill donation. After the meal, everyone will be entertained by the Eddie Boggs Show. Tickets are required at the cost of $6. For reservations, please call the Senior Center at 419-337-9299.
The Center offers regular exercise classes including “Gentle Movement Exercise Class” and “Tai Chi.” The Center is also considering starting a shuffleboard league. Please contact the center if interested in any of these events.
The Senior Centers in Fulton County offer meals, activites, and services at all their sites including Wauseon, Delta, Fayette, Archbold, and Swanton. Activities include card playing, bingo, shopping, educational and community events, and seasonal activities. Call the Wauseon Center for more information. Please plan to join other seniors at one of the area centers for some festive fellowship this holiday season.
