Gail D. Miller, age 89, passed away July 1, 2020, at the CHWC-Montpelier Hospital in Montpelier, Ohio. Gail spent her life as a homemaker and a loving servant of God.
Gail was born December 21, 1930, in Carroll Township in Ottawa County, Ohio, the daughter of Barley E. and Dorothy (Humphrey) Lacy. Following her graduation from Oak Harbor High School in 1948, she assisted her father in managing Lacy’s Market on State Route 2.
On July 1, 1956, Gail married the love of her life Robert H. Miller, and he survives. She assisted Robert in his ministry with the Church of the United Brethren in Christ for over 40 years. She was actively involved in children’s ministry in the church and summer camp. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, and creating quilts for her family.
Surviving Gail is her husband; daughter, Connie J. Miller; son, Randall (Martha) Miller; daughter, Shari (Dennis) Miller Rowe; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Gail is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Glen; and sister, Margie.
Visitation for Gail will take place on Friday, July 3, 2020, at the United Brethren Church in Stryker, Ohio at 10 am. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:30 am, with Pastor Nick Woodall officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Shiffler Cemetery, near Bryan, Ohio.
