Harvey J. Beaverson, 86, of rural Fayette, died at 1:25 a.m. Wednesday morning, May 22, 2013, at Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home in Archbold, where he had been a resident for a few weeks. He was born February 26, 1927, in Fulton County, OH, to the Late Earl C. and Ilva V. (Snyder) Beaverson. Harvey married Nancie Falor on June 8, 1952, in Swanton, OH, and she survives.
Harvey lived in Fayette since his early youth. He served in Korea as a member of the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Harvey had a sincere passion for farming, and his life-long career included both livestock and crop farming. He was a member of the Lauber Hill Reformed Mennonite Church.
Surviving Harvey in addition to his wife, Nancie, are their three children, Beverly (Larry) Ledyard of Wauseon, OH, Daryl (Joni) Beaverson of Morenci, MI, and Paul (Jeri Sue) Beaverson of Fayette; two sisters, Rosemary (Robert) Beehler of Ontario, Canada, and Eileen Turner of Texas; ten grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Marion, Jon, and James.
A funeral service for Harvey Beaverson will be held Saturday, May 25, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at Lauber Hill Reformed Mennonite Church near Pettisville with Alan Bankert and Jim Basinger officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home-Barrett Chapel in Fayette.
