JJ Winns Holiday Tournament

 North Central 74 Morenci (MI) 54

PIONEER – Four Eagles (4-4) hit for double figures topped by 18 from Gage Kidston in a 74-54 win over Morenci (1-5) in the opening game of the JJ Winns Holiday Tournament.

Joey Burt was next with 13 while Kenneth Smeltzer and Ben Pettit each had 11.

North Central will take on Hudson tonight in the championship game at 7:30pm.

ANTWERP – Edon (3-9) survived a 21-11 fourth quarter by Hicksville (1-9) to pull out a 47-43 win in the consolation game of the Route 49 Holiday Classic.

Natalie Wofford carried the offensive load for the Bombers with nine field goals and was 13/18 at the foul line for 31 points.

The host Archers (5-5) defeated Edgerton (1-9) 44-34 in the championship game.

FORT MEYERS, FL – Evangelical Christian (12-3) led 21-12 after one quarter and 33-19 at halftime to 49-33 win over Evergreen (8-3) in the semifinals of the Queen of the Palms Tournament.

Junior Macy Chamberlin fronted the scoring for Evergreen with nine points.
