BOYS BASKETBALL

Wauseon 48 Bryan 39

BRYAN –The Golden Bears stayed close until a 13-6 spurt by Wauseon (11-7, 3-1 NWOAL) in the third quarter lifted them to a 48-39 win in a NWOAL makeup game.

Jonas Tester topped the Indians with 15 and Matt Shaw added 13. Sam Herold had 11 to front Bryan (0-4, 1-14 NWOAL) while Evan Cox tallied 10.

EDON – The Vikings (7-8) broke a 10-10 tie with a 23-12 run in the middle two quarters to pull away for the win at Edon.

Evan Lumbrezer’s game-high 21 points and 12 points from Eli Kieffer led the offense for Evergreen.

Edon (9-7) had two players in double figures as Jack Berry netted 11 and Drew Gallehue had 10.

DELTA – Hilltop (3-11) went scoreless in the first quarter as Delta dominated from start to finish for a 66-24 victory.

Justin Ruple led the scoring for Delta (7-9) with 15 and Bryce Gillen posted 14.

Brock Kesler and Carson Jennings had five points apiece for Hilltop.

EDGERTON – It was a successful Senior Night for the Bulldogs (5-13) as they jumped to a 28-12 lead at halftime and cruised to a 49-30 win.

Nathan Swank paced Edgerton with 12 and Nate Timbrook had 10.

Fayette (10-7), who has now dropped five games in a row, were topped by Elijah Lerma with 16.

ANTWERP – Jagger Landers scored 25 points as he became Antwerp’s all-time leading scorer and head coach Doug Billman earned his 100th career win at Antwerp (15-1) after the Archers blowout of North Central (10-6).

Zach Hayes had four buckets and was 4/4 at the free throw line for 12 points to lead the Eagles.

STRYKER – The Apaches (5-13) trailed 17-16 at halftime but used a 13-6 third quarter to take the lead in picking up a 41-35 win.

Jacob Cadwell and Levi Barnum registered nine points each for the Panthers (7-11).

MONTPELIER – The Locos upped their record to 17-3 by knocking off MVCD 57-37 in a non-league contest.

Chelsea McCord dropped a game-high 24 points for Montpelier and Ariel Page added 15.

HICKSVILLE – The Aces (12-6) outscored Pettisville 25-5 in the second and third quarters combined to pull away for the 59-31 win.

Hicksville’s Kenzie Schroeder led all scorers with 28 points and Molly Crall added 20.

Ellie Grieser led the way for Pettisville (3-16) with three free throws and two triples for nine points.

NAPOLEON – Liberty Center (12-1, 11-1 NWOAL) rolled a 943 in game one and 938 in game two in their win over Wauseon.

Kane Panico paced the Indians (2-10, 2-8 NWOAL) with a 374 (182, 192) and Kage Little posted a 336 (164, 172).

GIRLS BOWLING

NAPOLEON – Hannah Roth led a balanced attack for the Tigers (9-1, 9-1 NWOAL) with a 363 (169, 194) series and Riley Garretson added a 347 (223, 134) in a 2,102-1,666 win.

Jayde Ramos provided the high series for Wauseon (2-6, 3-6 NWOAL) with games of 178 and 181 for a 359 series.
