GIRLS BOWLING

Wauseon 1,881 Tinora 1,224

NAPOLEON – Jayde Ramos posted a 390 (215, 175) series as the Lady Indians opened the 2021-2022 season with a nonconference win over Tinora. Natalie Stevens was next for Wauseon with a 318 (177, 141) and Ember Pahl added a 301 (160, 141).

Bryan 2,024 Delta 1,838

BRYAN – Faith Harding totaled a 406 (212, 194) to pace Bryan to a 2, 024-1,838 win over Delta. Jessica Federspiel tallied a 335 (176, 135) for Bryan and Haylie Federspiel added a 308 (180, 128).

Ciarra Flickinger had games of 191 and 202 for a 393 series to lead Delta while Maddy Johnston had a 341 (172, 169) and Lexi Brown fired a 302 (133, 169).

Liberty Center 1,809 Evergreen 1,781

ADRIAN – Evergreen led 1,356-1,342 entering the Baker Games where Liberty Center rallied to win the match as they defeated the Vikings 467-425 in Baker play.

Kennedy Coolman rolled the high series for Evergreen with a 309 (166, 143) and Carly Kanneman had the high game with a 181 followed by a 126 for a 307 series.

BOYS BOWLING

Tinora 2,299 Wauseon 1,906

NAPOLEON – Tinora jumped to a 922-737 after game 1 and rolled to a 2,299-1,906 win over the Indians at River City Bowl-A-Way. Kage Little was high man for Wauseon with a 323 (182, 141) and Ryan Marks added a 307 (157, 150).

Bryan 2,431 Delta 2,083

BRYAN – Dakota Brandeberry had a 439 (206, 233) and Matt Meade rolled a pair 201s to lead Bryan past Delta 2,431-2,083. The Golden Bears led 1,783-1564 after match play and then pulled away after posting a 648 (240, 180, 220) in the Baker Games.

Kaden Hawkins led the Panthers effort with a 345 (187, 158), Brody Waugh had a 321 (150, 171), and Gabe Syverson delivered a 324 (140, 184).

Liberty Center 2,330 Evergreen 2,030

ADRIAN – Landon Amstutz rolled games of 255 and 214 for a 469 series to pace the Tigers in a win over Evergreen. Mitchell Gillen topped the Vikings with a 423 (196, 227) and Derek Cobb scored a 394 (181, 213).

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Varsity

Tinora 70 Hilltop 38

WEST UNITY – The game was tied 15-15 after the opening quarter, but Tinora (3-1) would outscore Hilltop 55-23 the rest of the way to get the win. Leanna Baker paced the Cadets (2-2) with eight points on four field goals.

Swanton 41 Fayette 16

SWANTON – The Bulldogs held Fayette to just four points in the second half, including shutting them out in the third, to pick-up a 41-16 nonconference win. Swanton (2-1) was topped by Frankie Nelson with 15 points while Gracee Bingman and Brooke Vanderveer led the Eagles (0-2) with six points each.

Fremont (IN) 57 Edon 44

FREMONT – The Lady Bombers dropped to 0-3 on the season after a 57-44 loss on the road. No stats were reported.

Hicksville 58 Montpelier 38

HICKSVILLE – The Aces (2-0) led 14-8 after one quarter and pulled away for a 58-38 nonconference win over Montpelier (1-1). No stats were reported.
