August 25th-HICKSVILLE: Crossing county lines, the Lady Cadets traveled to Hicksville to face off against the Aces. The road game was a difficult one for Hilltop, though, as Hicksville took the match in straight sets.
The first set saw Hicksville control the game, 25-10. The Cadets bounced back, giving the Aces all they could handle in game 2. Still, they fell short of victory, losing the set 22-25. In game 3, the Cadets gave on last effort to comeback, but couldn’t, losing the set 15-25.
Ariana Brown played above the net, making 6 blocks and 3 kills on Hilltop’s behalf. Felicity Jackson led the Lady Cadets in assists, making 4, as well as 5 digs. Teammate Cierra Grant had 7 digs, 3 kills, and 2 aces. Allie Schmitt added 11 digs.
