Hilltop Hosts Montpelier, North Central, and Fremont

(September 11th, 2014)-WEST UNITY: The Cadets of Hilltop hosted a quad-meet on Thursday, inviting Montpelier, North Central, and Fremont to compete. Montpelier won the boys race, while Hilltop won the girls.

Michael Blake led the way for the Locomotives, finishing first overall at 18:36. Alec Waterston earned fifth place for Montpelier, running a 19:31. Austin Miller was the sixth runner to complete the race with a 19:47.

Top finishers for North Central include Jason Vassor at ninth with a 20:23, and Trent in tenth place with a 20:41.

The first Cadet to cross the finish line was Rylee McCaine in eleventh place thanks to his time of 20:55.

Hilltop’s Maddie Routhier was the first runner to complete the race for the girls, as she ran a 21:13. Teammates Landri and Kara Brown finished in third and fourth at 21:43 and 22:17 respectively.

For Montpelier, Jaqueline Carlson took second place at 21:26. Haley Suffel claimed eighth place with a time of 27:44.

The top finisher for North Central was Emma Zenz in eleventh place at 29:25.
