Indians earn share of NWOAL title
HAMLER: April 28, 2014 – The Wauseon Indians earned at least a share of the NWOAL title for the second straight season with a 3-1 win against Patrick Henry Monday.
Senior pitcher, Ty Suntken, had a pitching gem as he gave up just two hits to the high powered Patriots offense. He finished the complete-game win with nine strikeouts.
At the plate, Jacob Newlove supplied the Tribe with two RBI. Ty Suntken, Axel Bueter, Josh Kauffman and Brady Rupp had hits for the winners.
The Indians can claim their second straight outright title Monday when the Bryan Golden Bears come to Wauseon for a key NWOAL match up.
