BOYS BASKETBALL

VARSITY

Archbold 60 Defiance 44

Archbold had four players in double figures and used a 16-6 second quarter to pull away for the win over Defiance. DJ Newman had 17 pints to lead Archbold (10-3) followed by Noah Gomez with 13, Trey Theobald had 12, and Alex Roth added 10.

Wauseon 55 Fairview 43

The Indians raced to a 32-15 lead at the half as they rolled to a 55-43 win at home over Fairview. Jonas Tester had 23 points for Wauseon (11-2) to lead all scorers and Connar Penrod chipped in with 13.

Pettisville 44 Fayette 36

Max Leppelmeier had three triples and finished with a game-high 17 points to lead the Blackbirds to the win at Fayette. Pettisville (9-2, 7-0 in BBC) led 30-29 after three quarters and closed the game with a 14-7 advantage in the fourth quarter.

Cayden Jacoby record a double-double for Pettisville with 16 points, 15 rebounds while Tanner Wagner paced the Eagles (5-5, 3-5) with 14.

Edgerton 47 Stryker 38

Gannon Ripke had 13 and Corey Everetts added 12 as Edgerton (5-4) picked up the non-league victory over Stryker. Spencer Clingaman tallied 11 points to pace the Stryker (4-6) attack with Kaleb Holsopple adding 10.

VARSITY

Liberty Center 43 Pettisville 38

Liberty Center shot 15/48 from the floor and forced 22 turnovers by Pettisville as they edged the Lady Blackbirds 43-38. Ellie Griser had 18 points for Pettisville (0-10).

North Central 44 Maumee Valley Country Day 20

North Central took control early, leading 8-2 after one quarter and 26-6 at halftime in their win over MVCD. Madison Brown scored 13 points for the Eagles (6-5) and Kendal Bonney added 12.

St. Ursula 53 Wauseon 48 (OT)

Wauseon led most of the night, but St. Ursula fought back to force overtime where they outscored the Lady Indians 7-2 to secure the win. Autumn Pelok topped Wauseon (9-4) in the scoring column with 21 points, Marisa Seiler had 13, and Hayley Meyer tallied 10.

Stryker 45 Edgerton 33

Sage Woolace was 7/7 at the free throw line and scored 20 points as Stryker topped Edgerton 45-33. Kaitlyn Meyers added 13 for Stryker (4-5) and Noelle Ritter paced Edgerton (1-11) with seven points.

Montpelier 53 Hicksville 33

Chelsea McCord had 13 points as the Lady Locos improved to 11-1 on the season with the win over Hicksville. Ariel Page joined McCord in double figures with 10.

Ottawa Hills 52 Edon 33

The visitors from Ottawa Hills grab a 17-8 lead after one quarter on their way to a 52-33 victory. Ashley Kaylor led the Bombers (2-7) effort with nine points.
