Joe Zuver (1958-2018)

Joe Calvin Zuver, Jr. of San Antonio, Texas passed away suddenly on October 10th, 2018 at the age of 59. Joe was born on December 6th, 1958 to Joe C. Zuver, Sr. and Phyllis (Hoffman) Zuver.

Joe attended school in West Unity, Ohio and graduated from Hilltop High School with the largest class in the history of the school, the class of 1977. Joe loved his high school class and remained active in organizing class reunions and stayed in touch with many high school classmates. After nearly 42 years since high school graduation, he still considered his classmates his closest friends. Joe also graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1982 with a degree in radio and television production.

He gained expertise in many areas during his years as a working man, including; radio, the grocery business, and as production manager at Monarch Trophy in San Antonio for the past several years. Joe had a love of cars (especially the Pontiac GTO), a love of learning, a love of music, and a passion for the game of golf. His many experiences and years of work helped him to develop a wide circle of friends throughout the country, who will miss him greatly. Joe had the blessing of finding complete and utter happiness when he met and married the love of his life, Holly (Minnemeyer) Zuver, whom he leaves behind for now.

He also leaves behind his sons Joey Zuver and Wesley Hamilton, a daughter Nicholijea (John) Carnahan and a grandson Memphis Carnahan. He is survived, as well, by his brothers Shawn (Lorraine) Zuver of Findlay, Ohio, Phillip (Melody) Zuver of Bryan, Ohio, Roger (Cheryl) Renard of West Unity, Ohio and his sister Marie Zuver of West Unity, Ohio. Joe is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces and his Aunt Betty Renard of West Unity, Ohio.

Memorial services celebrating Joe’s life are planned in San Antonio, Texas and West Unity, Ohio. If you would like to honor the memory of Joe Calvin Zuver, Jr. please send your memorials to the San Antonio Area Foundation.
