Judy Kay Kelly, 79, died peacefully on the morning of December 24, 2024, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Judy was born on May 2, 1945, in Bryan, Ohio. She was the youngest of three children. The family relocated to Michigan for several years, and Judy graduated from Melvindale High School in 1963.
Throughout her career, Judy worked at various companies as a receptionist. She enjoyed her years spent at the Ohio Art Company before her retirement in 2016. Judy loved being a part of the Bryan Community.
When she was younger, she enjoyed playing softball, and she kept active by joining a line dancing group in her later years.
She was a member of the Bryan Eagles Aerie 2233 and spent many Friday evenings dining out around the town with friends.
A self-determined individual, Judy found comfort in her faith and church community. She was steadfast and loyal to her family and many friends.
Judy was a lifelong movie lover, and she would watch just about anything, although she became addicted to Hallmark Christmas movies. Judy’s proudest accomplishment was her two boys. She loved being a mother and spending time with her family.
Judy was preceded in death by her father, Wallace Jones, and her siblings, Paul Jones and Lois Scantlen. She is survived by her two sons, Corey (Tricia) Kelly of Maumee, Ohio and Colin (Maggie) Kelly of Livonia, Michigan.
Visitation for Judy will be held Friday, January 3, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. -12:00 noon at Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 N. Lynn Street, Bryan, Ohio where a memorial service celebrating Judy’s life will begin at 12:00 noon in the funeral home with Pastor Jan Desterhaft officiating. Inurnment will follow at Shiffler Cemetery, Bryan.
