Kathryn “Kathy” L. Spiess, age 59, of Delta, passed away at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo Thursday night, February 10, 2022.
She was born in Wauseon on June 9, 1962 to the late Larry Favorite and Connie (Dellenbach) Favorite who survives.
Kathy was a graduate of Delta High School in 1981. On September 9, 2000 she married Gary Spiess and together shared 21 loving years together.
She was a past member of the Dreamers Car Club, Campfire Girls and the PDY Band.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Gary; mother, Connie Favorite; son, Jeremy (Mandi) Peavley; brother, Lyle (Anne) Favorite; step-children, Jessica (Dustin) Lester, Adam (Amber) Spiess and Aaron (Caitlin) Spiess; granddaughter, Makenzie; step-grandchildren, Thomas (Haley) Tanner, Jasmine (Mike) Tanner, Reese, Grace, AJ, Madison, Mikayla, Coralee, Roman, Emma, Mia, Cayden, and one on the way; great granddaughter, Alice; sister-in-law, Sheila Favorite; nephews, Zach and Josh Favorite and niece, Lauren Favorite.
She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Favorite; brother, Alan Favorite; grandparents, Oris & Bernette Dellenbach and OM & Regina Favorite; grandchildren, Vyleigh, Amelia, James and Clay; mother-in-law, Dorothy Spiess and brother-in-law, Ricky Schorling.
In keeping with the family’s wishes, there will be a Celebration of Life Service to be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at the Delta United Methodist Church, 101 Northwood Dr., Delta beginning at 11:00 AM. Family will begin receiving friends from 10:00 AM until start of service at 11:00 AM.
