(1961 Graduate Of Bryan High School)

Kent L. Van Wagner, 80 years, of Bryan, Ohio, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, on Monday, November 4, 2024, at home.

Kent was born December 8, 1943, in Bryan, OH, the son of the late Carl and Eunice (Roughton) Van Wagner.  He was a 1961 graduate of Bryan High School.

Kent was a godly husband and father who loved and served God, always put others first, cared about those in need, and gave of his time and talents generously.

His sense of humor drew others in and his honesty caused people to trust him.  Kent worked for Gary’s Furniture as an assistant manager the entire time that business was in operation in Bryan, OH, and he later managed Huenefeld Furniture in Defiance, OH, and until he retired, was selling furniture at Herron’s in Okalona, OH.

Kent was very busy in the churches he attended in his lifetime.  He served in virtually every position and capacity in those churches, because he loved to serve.

Surviving are his wife, Judy (Calvin) Van Wagner, two children, Kelly ( Charles)  Fitch of Brooklyn, MI, and Christopher (Erica) Van Wagner, of O’Fallon, IL; 6 grandchildren: Joshua Drinnon of Adrian, MI, Kadee Drinnon  of Bryan, OH, Haleigh (Van Wagner) Frazier, of Indianapolis, IN, Emma Van Wagner, of Wheaton, IL, and Caleb and Landon Stoker, of O’Fallon, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and a sister, Joy Wright.

Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial donations to: Wycliffe Bible Translators, The Jesus Film Project, the Bryan Alliance Church, or the CPC Women’s Health Resource of NW Ohio.

A Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held at the Bryan Alliance Church, on Sunday December 1, at 4:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 2:30 p.m. Grisier Funeral Home in Stryker has been entrusted with arrangements.

The obituary for Kent was lovingly prepared by his family.
