Lady Locomotives Host Out Of Conference Foe Fairview; Cruise To Victory Over Lady Apaches

MONTPELIER: February 11, 2014 – The Montpelier Lady Locomotives hosted the Lady Apaches of Fairview on February 11, defending the home court for a convincing 48-38 victory.

In the win for Montpelier, Baylee Hageman and Hannah Blake both kept the scoreboard lights moving with 19 and 17 points respectively on the night. Hageman also recorded 10 assists in the game along with a steal. Malorie Yagelski logged 5 points on the game while Audry Pirtle, Regan Steffes and McKenna Quaderer each hit 1 bucket; Maggie Richmond rounded out the scoring with a hit from the free throw line for 1.

As a team, Montpelier controlled the boards, out-rebounding the Lady Apaches 38-24 while shooting 36 percent from the field over Fairview’s 27 percent.
