NORTH CENTRAL: February 13, 2014 – North Central put on a display in team scoring on February 13 to record a hard fought 61-59 overtime victory at home over the Edon Lady Bombers.
For the Lady Eagles in the overtime victory, four players recorded a double figure scoring night with Sabrina Pickford leading the way with 18; Rachael Oxender recorded 17 while Cady VanDeVoorde hit for 13. Makayla Hayes dropped in 10 rounding out the double figure explosion for the Lady Eagles lineup. Also in the game, Abby Litzenberg hit a bucket for 2 and Julia Rhinehard closed out the scoring with a free throw for 1.
In a busy night for the scoreboard operator, along with Alex Kiess’s 23, Kaitlin Chrisman hit for double figures as well, hitting for 14 on the night. Kaitlyn Sonneberger added 8 and Hannah Gutting dropped in two buckets for 4 on the game. Baylee Gearheart chipped in a bucket and Jordan Matthews hit one from the line to round out the scoring for the Lady Bombers.
