The Montpelier Exempted Village Board of Education convened in regular session on the evening of March 7.

In financial matters, the Board approved the financial statements and investments for February 2016, as well as the donations and appropriation modifications as presented.

The Board named Megan Shilling as the junior high track coach for the 2015-2016 school year, and approved the retire-rehire public notice of Connie Shoup. The Board will hold a public meeting on April 19 at 4:45 in the choir room of the Montpelier School on the issue of re-hiring Ms. Shoup.

The Board moved to approve several revised, replacement and new Board of Education policies, and gave their approval of the 2016 National Robotics Challenge Trip to Marion, Ohio from April 7 to April 9.

Referencing the proposed school expansion project, the Board reviewed and ranked the submitted architectural proposals, and moved to appoint Dr. Jamison Grime, Mrs. Carla Rice, Mr. Darrell Higbie and Mr. Cristopher Wurm to negotiate contracts with the approved architects.
