THE VILLAGE REPORTER

Hailey Coulter of Wauseon is looking to help needy families in the local area by collecting clothing.

Hailey began this process after helping a friend who was in need in school. It was then that she decided to help those in the community that need it most.

This took place around a year ago but did not receive much of a response. This year the response has been stronger, with donations being received by 13 different people so far. These donations have been enough to help six families.

Hailey’s mother Paulette explained that much of the reasoning behind wanting to help other people comes from their struggles when she was young.

Hailey saw that there were many options out there for people to get food, but there was not much when it comes to helping people with clothing.

At this point, the clothing closet for donations is the family’s home. Donations can be left there, or a time can be set up to meet and receive the donation.

Other than clothing, other items are accepted as well including towels, blankets, and anything else a family could use to start over following a disaster.

Donations continue to be wanted to help needy local families in the area. If anyone has clothing, they would like to donate to help Hailey complete her goal, they can call 419-388-8213 to set up a time to drop off donations.
