Lyons Village Council Approves $5000 Budget To Replace Christmas Decor

Lyons Village Council approved the minutes for January meeting, the reading of the bills and the financial report at the beginning of the February 1, 2021 Council meeting. Also approved was the 3rd and final reading of the CRA Tax Abatement for the village.

An update was given of the demolition of the blight house on North Adrian which will be taken down the first week of March with CDBG money.

Council voted to spend $5000 to start replacing the old Christmas decorations for the village.

They also discussed trying to get equipment and people to volunteer to help with the Basketball/Pickleball Court for their portion of and in Kind for ODNR and Stay Capital Grant for which the village was approved.

Some discussion was held concerning prices for electric at Dunbar and Green Parks as well as getting pricing on a possible Salt Bin and the replacement of dilapidated Brush Bins.

The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, March 1,2021.
