The Lyons Village Council met June 7th at 7pm. First discussed was the sludge level at the lagoon. Currently the sludge level is looking good.

Next, the building of the salt bins has been tabled until next month’s meeting.

The council has been appointing members to the housing council committee. There are still two more committee members needed. Possible committee members need to be members of the community that are looking to serve the community.

The council voted five for to zero against to improve the electric capacity at Veterans Park.

There was then a vote to implement an ordinance that will not allow marijuana dispensaries within village limits. The vote was four to pass and one against.

The council then discussed having to move the meeting next month to July 7th due to the holiday.

Later in July the Chicken BBQ will be held on July 30th and July 31st. October 2nd will be when the village will have its unlimited pickup.

The property located at 10-3 and State Route 20 had been discussed at the previous months meeting. It was tabled again this month while the village waits for a response from the state.

The meeting was then adjourned.
