The Lyons Village Council held their meeting on Monday, September 12th. The meeting began at 7:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance.

The following items were addressed during the meeting. A bulb for one of the stop lights had gone out and has since been fixed. More water meters have been ordered and different grant opportunities are being explored.

Unlimited trash pickup will be taking place on October 1st and some trees are being obtained for Dunbar Ingall Park.

Fall letters went out on September 1st with Trick or Treat remaining on October 31st from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A costume contest will take place at the Fire Hall afterwards at 7:00 p.m.

Lead and copper testing was completed by the EPA on September 13th. Those samples were sent in. GIS is still being worked on for the water meters and a county audit will be taking place on September 27th at 4:00 p.m.

Work is still being done to find a new dump truck and the civic text and email program is up and running.

This allows the village to send alerts to those that have signed up. With no further business to attend to, the meeting was adjourned.
