In old business at the December 7, 2020 Metamora Council meeting, council continued discussion on the Electric Aggregation Agreements but in New Business, they heard a complaint via email.

Tom and Tina Sullivan sent an email asking if the village would do something about the dilapidated chain link fence in the park near their home. Council determined to refer this to the Lands and Buildings Committee as a project to do in the coming year, possibly in the spring.
Another topic of discussion was brought by resident Brian Rieger, a resident on Garnsey St. who is asking for sewer cleaning reimbursement in the amount of $662 for a roto rooter bill.

Mayor Richard Sauerlender explained that the village will be checking into exactly which portion of the sewer was cleaned and that will determine whether the land owner or the village is responsible for the bill.

In other new business, council was informed that there is maintenance being done on the Dump Truck. During the Mayor’s report, it was agreed that a new 35 mph sign will be put up on the east edge of town. Fiscal Officer Sue Clendenin reported that the State Salt price came in at $52/10 per ton; a student in the Evergreen National Honor Society is looking for some service hours; and the village received a thank-you card from CAST, the local food pantry, for the assistance given to them financially. Also reported were the Park Levy election results at 280 voters with 185 for and 95 against, and that the village received an additional $944 COVID funds with encumbrance deadline extended to December 30. Any unspent money is to be sent back to the county auditor by January 30, 2020.

Council voted to approve:
•Ordinance #1040 amending Ord. 1024 hiring Tiffany Venias at $11 an hour, increasing to $12 effective November 2, 2020 (Tiffany is done for the year, but this was retroactive)
•Ordinance #1041 Supplemental appropriation ordinance

With no further business, the meeting adjourned.
