The Metamora Village Council held their meeting on Wednesday, January 19th at 8:00 p.m. The meeting was called to order followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Council first moved to approve the minutes for the previous meeting that took place on January 10th.

A report for the Personnel and Finances was then heard as well as a Land and Buildings report. Reading of the bills then took place and was approved by council. Issues listed under old business were then discussed.

Cheryl Geer declined to be on the Planning Commission. The commission is moving forward and will have their first meeting on Monday, January 24th at 7:00 p.m. A discussion took place on who would attend the meeting to take notes.

In new business, Fulton County Planning Commission meetings are normally held on the 4th Thursday of every month. The question of someone attending was discussed.

Jeff Pawlaczyk is listed as the Village Representative and the question of if it would be beneficial for someone to attend was asked.

The Fiscal Officers report was then given. An update on the requirements for the demolition of commercial or residential properties by the county was discussed as well as information on the potential business coming in on County Road 2.

Kevin Whitlock was also contacted regarding the Village Solicitor’s position. Mayor Richard Sauerlender then presented the Fulton County Sheriff’s report for December.

With no other agenda items to attend to, council moved to adjourn for the evening.
