The Millcreek-West Unity Local Board of Education held a special early-morning meeting on June 12, at 7:00 a.m., to address key district matters involving staffing and infrastructure.
Board President Heather Jones led the session, with members Bryan Wieland, Randy Malhman, and Dawn Layman in attendance. David Chester was noted as absent.
During the meeting, the board officially approved the employment of Erin DeGroff as a Spanish teacher for the 2025-2026 academic year.
In addition to personnel matters, the board held preliminary discussions regarding potential capital projects.
While no formal decisions were made, the conversation signals early planning stages for future improvements to occur. The meeting concluded at 7:16 a.m.
The Millcreek-West Unity School Board is set to reconvene for its next regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, June 23, at 6:00 p.m. in the school library.
