Throughout the month of July, the Millcreek-West Unity FFA Chapter members stayed busy with FFA Camp Muskingum and volunteering their time at local and state events.

From July 10th to the 14th, four chapter members (Libbie Baker, Shealyn Brown, Levi Cox, and Lakota Siegel) attended the 5th Session of FFA Camp Muskingum in Carrollton, Ohio.

At camp, they attended leadership and team building sessions, in addition to ecology and sustainability workshops lead by the 2023-2024 State FFA Officer Team and the FFA Camp Staff.

They also got to try their hand at learning new skills like archery, shotgun and rifle, paddle boarding and motor-boating.

Shealyn, being a senior, was able to complete a high-ropes course. All the attendees had a great week meeting new friends from across the state and making memories!

On Saturday, July 22nd, Levi Cox and Miss Frey helped at the registration table for Kenn-Feld’s (Archbold) Kids Day of Play.

It was great to see all the area FFA groups and Kenn-Feld employees come together to create a memorable day of fun for over 220 kids.

To round out the month of July, a few FFA members (Libbie Baker, Shealyn Brown, Ingrid Hoffman, Brooke Moreland, Olivia Rossman, and Conner Sanders) woke up very early on the 30th and traveled to the Ohio State Fair to volunteer for the Ohio Cattlemen’s Association at the Taste of Ohio Café.

They had a great time serving Ohio State Fair visitors delicious meals prepared by Graze On Catering.
