The Montpelier Exempted Village Schools Board of Education held a special meeting on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, to appoint a new member to the school board.
Board President Nate Rose called the meeting to order at 4:58 p.m. Board members present included Rose, Jennifer Schlosser, Dunne Gambler, and Troy Roth. Treasurer Eric Smeltzer was absent. Gambler was appointed Treasurer Pro Tempore for the special meeting.
The board entered into executive session for the purpose of appointing an official at 4:59 p.m. They returned to open session at 6:08 p.m. with action.
The action included appointing Michael Worksetter to serve as a member of the Montpelier Exempted Village Schools Board of Education.
The appointment filled the single-seat vacancy on the board. Worksetter’s term was approved for January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2029.
With no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:09 p.m.
