MONTPELIER: June 13 – Kennedy Caudill threw a one-hitter to lead the Mintpelier Civic girls to a 11-0 shutout of Cool Beans in 12U softball play.
Maya Taylor went off for a home run, a double and a single for Civic, while Halie Rose, Kamryn Schlosser, MaKayla Fairchild and Allison Sommer each lashed singles.
Jesse Bumb took the loss for Cool Beans, with Alli Repp going two innings in relief.
Kendra Abrams got the lone base hit for Cool Beans.
