Montpelier Daughters Of The American Revolution Show Their Special Hats

Scout David Williams chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, met at the Montpelier Public Library on May 2 at 1:00 p.m. Seven members were present, and Vice Regent Gerry Landon was hostess. The afternoon program was “All About Hats”. Each member wore or brought a special hat and told a story about it.

The chapter received the following four certificate honors in April from the Ohio Society DAR, which were presented at the meeting: as a National Defense Report Leader; for Distributing 50 U.S. Flag Pins and Collecting U.S. Flags to Be Destroyed; for Promoting Constitution Week; and for the Sponsorship of “Wings of Eagles” Scholarship Applicants. State Parliamentarian Rosanne Fisher shared a DAR National Headquarters press release, “DAR Commemorates 75th Anniversary of Marian Anderson Lincoln Memorial Concert with Educational Outreach”.
