Montpelier Moose Lodge 312 Selects Officers For New Term

HPIM1772 WEBInstallation of officers for Montpelier Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #312 was held Wednesday, April 27th at 7 p.m. with Past Governor Dennis Bishop conducting the ceremony. Beginning their new term starting May 1st are the officers pictured from left to right, front row, seated—Governor Mike McKenzie, Junior Governor Andy Reliford, Prelate Rich Stoy, Junior Past Governor Patrick Thorp, Administrator/Secretary Bob Gearig; back row, standing, Past Governor Jim Heller, Installing Officer & Past Governor Dennis Bishop, 1-Year Trustee Rick Custar, 2-Year Trustee Chad Crisenberry, 3-Year Trustee Ray Evers, and Installing Sergeant-at-arms Charlie Schelling. Not pictured is Treasurer Aaron Apt who will be installed at a later date. This year the local lodge celebrates its Centennial Anniversary, having been instituted 100 years ago May 10th, 1916. Special activities to celebrate this milestone are scheduled Saturday, May 14th at the lodge starting with a breakfast buffet from 8-11 a.m., serving nachos and “dogs” from 11 a.m.-3:00 p.m., for the children—Patrick the Magician and face painting from 1:00-4:00 p.m. and dinner from 5:00-8:00 p.m. with choice of prime rib, grilled chicken and smoked pork chop (no orders from regular menu). Pre-sale discount tickets are being offered for the breakfast buffet and dinner. Entertainment that evening will be “Wally & the Beavs” starting at 8:00 p.m. The lodge is proud to have been able to serve the community for the past 100 years and hopes to continue to be an integral part of the community for many, many more. Members and qualified guests are always welcome. During the past century, in addition to serving the community, Montpelier Lodge 312 has continued to help support the fraternity’s “Child City” at Mooseheart , just west of Chicago, and our “City of Contentment” at Moosehaven, senior retirement community located at Orange Park, FL. Regular lodge meetings are held the 2nd & 4th Wednesdays of each month at 7:00 p.m.
